Hi there, I’ve got a little doubt about what can be done with modx.
Attached is what I need to create, it’s the layout for an individual performance, the problem is that it’s a 2 column layout, each has a different color, and different content types like slideshow, video, text, comment form/listing, calendar and sort of a news ticker with press quotes.
My idea was to create a container which, I dunno, would aggregate page snippets and those page snippets would correspond to sub pages, so that I had more freedom to style the container. Guess it’d be sort of a widget platform.
Performance page
-- video
-- comments
-- content left
-- content right
-- press quotes
-- calendar
-- etc
Is this possible with MODx?

Of course it’s possible.
It’s not much different than my Mondrian template, on the homepage of loripsum.co.uk.
Just break it into containers (divs), style and position the containers, and then put your chunks, TVs or whatever into the containers.
The general rule is -- if you can do it with CSS, javascript, PHP, and/or HTML -- you can do it in MODx.
