Do 0.9.5 templates work with 0.9.6.1

Hi, I saw few websites offering free MODx templates but most of the templates are for 0.9.5 version.

I just wanted to know if these templates would work with 0.9.6.1 version of MODx ?

Templates will work. The default menuing and other scripts may have changed, for example from MenuBuilder to Wayfinder, but it’s pretty easy to change over to the newer snippets in the template.

can u recmd any source for free templates for 0.9.6.1
I am new to this and dont know anything about these terms.

See some of them full-page at http://loripsum.co.uk.

The templates on http://www.modxcms.com/resource-listing.html&tags=template are quite OLD. I wonder if they work with 0.9.6.1

Yes. Templates have not changed. The only thing that you may need to deal with are old snippets used by default, such as the MenuBuilder instead of Wayfinder. For the most part, you can simply replace the MenuBuilder snippet with Wayfinder. Some of the CSS for the resulting menu may need to be tweaked. But the templates themselves will work just fine.
