Hello.
Im completely new to this so my question might been silly.
I am in the process of making a system with actors. Every actor have their own biography page. I made it look like I wanted with TVs and I created a template design that fits.
I want to make a new actor page by using a template page and not by first adding a page in the modx manager and set the right template, menu name etc.
Basically it would be great if I could through Quickedit on the front end click a button and a new page would be added that looks like the template I made.
Is that possible?
Best regards

You must have to login to Manager to add a new page.
Yes I know. I just want to find out if there is a one-click function that adds a page I have tailor made. As it is now, for each actor I have to: add page in manager, click the right template, Write the menu name and then save.
I just want be able to add a page from the front end with a default template associated.
Maybe there is some sort of module that can manage a website that has biographies og actors. Maxi gallery is a great examples just that it is only about pictures.

You also might want to take a look at such snippets like NewsPublisher, and FDM (Frontend Document Manager).
Thanks sirlancelot.
I think that is what Im looking for. I will check it out.
I have been trying quite a few CMS systems like Joomla, Prone etc. but modxcms seems to be EXACLTY what Im looking for.
What makes it better is the native modules Quickedit and Wayfinder combined with a great template system. It has alot of great snippets like MaxiGallery etc. Finally I can still dive into the code and all in only two days! The FDM you mentioned seems to be the final (so far) part of the puzzle.
Modxcms simply makes any website I make VERY friendly to I-don’t-know-anything-about-computers users and is fast to implement.
Still it would be nice if Quickedit could add/delete/move documents. That would rock!
