    Hi; I’m just wondering - is the bug that IE7 won’t accept no-repeat in a shorthand backgroung tag a known issue? I’ve checked many sites that list IE7 bugs and couldn’t find it.
    For example this markup won’t display an image in IE7 (or Opera) but will in FF2 and Flock;

     background: url([(base_url)]assets/templates/cix/images/morningwing.jpg) no-repeat center;

    where as this combo will work in IE7 Opera, FF and Flock;
     background: url([(base_url)]assets/templates/cix/images/morningwing.jpg) no-repeat center;
    background-repeat: no-repeat;

    The line (background-repeat: no-repeat;) apparently overrides IE7’s inability to digest the shorthand line and doesn’t seem to affect FF,Opera,Flock. If the no-repeat parameter is left out of the shorthand line, then FF and Flock won’t work, and they don’t like the separate (background-repeat: no-repeat;) line and ignore it and repeat the image.

    Does anyone know of a really good list of IE 6/7 css hacks?

    Thanks,
    Hal D
