Does anybody know if you can import a newsletter webpage (unpublished) from your site into a bulk email sender without losing the design?
Tks
Selima
Thanks for this. I notice, however, that this system does not include downloading of images, or a real import of your own webpage (fairly complex design on ours). And what about links back to the main website, would they function?
Thanks
Selima
If you are sending bulk email you should deisgn it from the ground up. If you simply try and convert your home page into an email - the way you are suggesting - chances are it will fail.
html email is a little different than a fully blown website - in that a lot of code will get stripped out by the email client i.e hotmail etc. For instance its almost impossible to use forms with hotmail as it will strip out your <form> tags.
Also you need to be very careful what text you use. A lot of words are treated like spam, so serch google for good practice.
Another thing when I do html emails I embed all the styles (inline styles) this seems odd but email clients are very old school its the best way to make sure people get the email how you intend it.

Outlook 2007 now uses the wonderful HTML rendering engine from MS Word. HTML email design is a challenge indeed.
