    Hi Everyone,
    Long time lurker/fan of this project, and I’m finally in a position to try out Modx on a few upcoming projects. However, at my first hurdle I’ve run into a really odd problem after install.

    For some reason, I’m getting a partial snippet of code being streamed to the outputted page. I can’t see any errors of relevance in my logs, and I’ve tried multiple installs and templates to ensure I was getting it right.

    Here is the code that is getting outputted:
    </body>
    </html>ESSION['mgrValidated']) @ini_set("display_errors","0");

    // execute the parser
    $modx->executeParser();
    ?>

    Here is what I have tried so far:
    1. Upgrade
    2. Clean install (inc. dropping previous db)
    3. Tarball installation from my local laptop (i.e. dump and load)

    It should be noted that my local laptop (OSX) does not display this error.

    Here is a link to my php info if that might be of some help.

    Thanks in advance everyone! Despite the error I am really enjoying my experience with modx so far!

      I don’t see anything really obvious except that your PHPInfo looks strange; it repeats a section of the PHPInfo again at the bottom, in what I guess could be a similar way to it showing the section from index.php. This might indicate some kind of configuration issue, but I have not experienced or heard of anything similar before...

        Oh yeah, my phpinfo file includes an extra call to show just the modules:
        phpinfo(INFO_MODULES);

        I’m with Dreamhost. I fairly sure I can customize certain parameters of the php.ini file, just not sure which one (if at all) is causing the problem.

          Hmm, I rolled back my PHP to version 4.4.4 and still still no luck!

          Any ideas??

            First, try deleting the template switcher plugin. Then, take a look at your index.php file. It almost looks like that file has been corrupted.

              Ok, this makes no sense whatsoever.

              On a lark, I installed the latest RC (0.9.6) into a sub directory and did not see the error. Viola! Well no, I dumped the very same files back into my root, and i STILL have the problem!

              So this must be down to something with Dreamhost. Very strange....

              Thanks all,

              Geoffrey

                Try emptying your assets/cache folder, then replacing the files with new files from a freshly uncompressed installation.
