Menuing possible with single template?

I would like to create pages that automatically create a side (secondary) menu of any child pages (say for one level only) they have. However I understand that a Start ID needs to be specified in the wayfinder call in the template and if this is the case, then it looks like I might need a bunch of different templates, each with a different Start Id. Is what I am looking for possible? thanks

all you need to do is use the UltimateParent snippet to accomplish this.

Just add the following: &startId=`[[UltimateParent]]`
