I’m using wayfinder for a menu with sub menus. I’ve used a great free PDF "everything you’d like to know about wayfinder" This is a must for anyone working in modx.

Anyhow when I apply CSS to the submenu it affects the top menu. can some one point me in direction.

I’m a right minded person trying to do left minded coding. If anyone is interested in getting paid to help me through this let me know. I’ve got 10 websites I’m working on for clients and it’s beginning to be headache.

    Thanks for any help.

If you haven’t done so, I’d advise using Firefox with Firebug installed. It will tell you exactly which CSS is controlling which screen element and what attributes are being inherited from where.

      After installing Firebug:

While viewing the page in question, click on the bug at the lower right, click on the little rectangle with the arrow at the top left of the firebug window, then click on the element in your page you want to know about.

Sounds like there is a issue with how the menus are called in the CSS...

I can help if needed but would need to see the site / sites in question so I can view the code, as long as it’s just a case of styling then there would be no charge but feel free to make a donation to Modx ;o)
