One awesome template

Hello all,

I am very new to modx and am struggling with templates and styles. Looking thru the list of who uses Modx I found one site that I would to emulate for a municipal government website I am working on.

In short, what advice can someone give me on finding/making a template that would look similar to this site? What I like about it is an image banner at the top and a horizontal menu bar under the image.

I guess to partially answer my own question I can basically take the source HTML and modify it to suit my wants and needs under the resources html page for a template on my modx site? The source HTML I see is the HTML page for the template that you modify and create under resources in Modx?

You might want to seriously consider asking jaredc for permission to do that ... you’re basically talking about stealing someone’s work. :/

Here’s a somewhat similar layout I made some time ago. I’m no graphics artist, so you’re pretty much on your own for finding or making nice graphics.
