I have been unable to solve or explain the problem with Safari, too bad for Safari users

Well, I had to revert to the first fix Boby offered, due to problems with Safari (which he has not, but I have : maybe because I have several effects in the page, who knows...), but (I had missed that) also for IE.
It seems though IE understand the opacity filter, it’s not implemented the same way the alpha filter is. I still had a glitch with IE, even with the
inline declaration style="opacity: 0.0;"
I had to add the old alpha filter thingy to get the same effect as in other browsers : style="opacity: 0.0; filter: alpha(Opacity=0);"
The thing that remains to be done is reset opacity to 1.0 for those who don’t have javascript enabled.... to be continued !
