I need your advice on this that I am trying to do...
I dont seem to find a good solution at the moment
    as I think about it...

I have two pictures in my header, video in the sidebar and
4 pictures in the footer. I want all to appear in all my
site pages and I am using 7 different templates.

As MODx works, I create the TVs so the customer can insert the
photos and videos that she wants, and assigned them to the templates.

So when she edits Home, she inserts the pictures and the video embedding
code and saves the page... and voilá... they appear in the Home Page.

The problem is that they do not appear in the rest of the pages cause
    they use a different template.

How can I configure this so she does not have to enter the pictures and
video code in all seven pages? She should just enter all the info one time.

Can´t figure it out, it is driving me nuts!!
    TIA

place the TVs in the sidebar (with @SELECT Binding http://www.sottwell.com/tv-bindings.html ) and setup an extra document ( don’t show in menu ) with the TVs you want your client to choose the content from assigned to - hope i’m on the right track with this wink

...or use the GetField Snippet in the sidebar to pull the content from the document you’ve setup to organize the TVs ( for your photos and videos etc.)

the GetField method looks promising, maybe using it with PHx...

Do you care to elaborate on your idea withe @SELECT?
I thought that the binding was to extract stuff from the DB

haven’t looked into that, but it should work...you would need to specify the ressource you’re going to pull the TV information from. http://wiki.modxcms.com/index.php/@SELECT_Binding but i think getField is the easier way. will see what else i can find about using @select
