Are there any templates that have collapsible menus (like windows explorer folders)? I noticed that a lot of WebsiteBaker CMS templates do this by default. This would be useful if you had a lot of pages within various categories.

    Thanks,
    Roger

      Hi,

I hope someone answers you as I have the same requirement. I saw a Mollio template package that had this beautiful expanding top menu. Very cool design, but if you don’t like the color palette it’s no joke to modify that sucker.

      Cheers,

There is a user here named Banzai that has a ton of awesome templates for MODx. you can download them free from his website http://www.tattoocms.it .

One that I think might do what you are looking for is Back in Black [ http://www.tattoocms.it/templates/backinblack.html ].

it uses some ajax features to hide and show areas as necessary.

Is it possible just to get the menu’s?

I’m also looking for a top menu, with dropdowns for the child menu items. But I don’t want to modify someone else’s template to get the menu.... Anyone?

Here’s one example how to create dropdown menu.

I alread looked @ that post, and it doean’t really make that much sence to me. I have to add though, the word DropMenu is rather confusing for me. I keep on wanting to think it’s actually a dropdown menu....

Unfortunattely that threat is more a debate about what’s rigt and what’s right - They both have their reasons for their statements being the true one to follow, the problem is though, it doesn’t help me, at all.

Sorry, maybe I didn’t say this.

I’m actually looking for a horizontal dropdown menu. This is the one that was placed as an example in another thread, http://css.maxdesign.com.au/listamatic2/horizontal04.htm#

Yet, I can’t get it to work

What do you mean by that? It should work "out-of-the-box" if you just copy paste the snippet call from my post to your document an put the css to you css file.
