This deserves to be the new default. Outstanding job.
Probably would have to agree here....
However, you should look at a copy of what I was working on a little while back. What you’ve done is fairly close to what I did (interesting enough!). I’ll just post it and you can see the difference. My color scheme is a bit different and I changed the icons as well. We might be able to sort of merge the two ideas together into something that has a bit more spit and polish to it.

For beginners like me, a few points:
1. Don’t delete the existing Manager folder. These are additional files uploaded into the current Manager folder.
2. Open the Manager and select Administrator.
3. Select Miscellaneous Settings.
4. Choose ModX Green from the Manager Theme option.
5. Save.
Nice, it seems that we are having a total rebranding for MODx. This is so cool!

I like the new Icons in Jeff’s version. Are there any licensing issues with redistributing them?
I’ve been using icons from the Tango Project in some of my recent work and I love them (http://tango-project.org/Tango_Icon_Gallery). They have SVG versions of every icon so they’re easy to disect or combine.
I’ve looked at the Tango icons and tried to incorporate them. However, they are somewhat limited and I had a hard time finding a proper icon replacement for many of the icons in MODx. The one’s I used are from IconExperience and according to their license agreement (
http://www.iconexperience.com/license.php), we should be able to use them as long as we don’t sublicense them or resell them. Since MODx is open-source and the icons would be used strictly for iconical representations of the different parts of MODx, I don’t see how we would be breaking any sort of license agreement from them.
