Or you could just do this in the NewsListing template

<div id="newsitem_[+id+]"></div>

Wow!! Thanks Mark Works GREAT!!

Can anyone test it on Mac os Browser (Safari)?

Closing one of the items crashed my Safari.:’(

tried again, closing thumbnails was OK but opening it again crashed. Closing and opening news items worked fine.

Only opening the "soft" template after closing crashes, everything else works OK, including clicking the "open" arrow when it’s already open.

And trying to close "soft" after closing anything else also crashes. Closing everything else, then opening everything else, I can close "soft" but crash on opening.

Safari 1.3.1 on OS X 10.3.9

Same here. The top item.

mmm I have a similiar problem in IE with open/close in sidebar (sidebar menu.news and poll), but only when try to opening after closing.

Open-close in newslisting template (soft and tabs box) don’t craches..

In Firefox 1.5 and Opera (pc) everything work fine.

I will make new tests with other effects, not SlideUp and Slidedown. :’(

Replaced SlideUp and Slidedown effects with Fade and Appear effects.

Now:

PC Firefox 1.5 : work perfectly
PC Internet Explorer: work without craches
PC Opera works, but there is no transition in fade affect - only disappear.

..waiting for your Safari test (sorry my G4 is completly died :’()

Thanks for Help

I can’t make it crash now, although the fades don’t work as expected... hmmm.

Thanks Ryan
Fade effect dont work very well with Opera too

Take a look at demo here:
http://wiki.script.aculo.us/scriptaculous/show/Effect.Appear

and here
http://wiki.script.aculo.us/scriptaculous/show/Effect.Fade

In Opera those pages doesnt work

works in Safari?

What version of scriptaculous included in MODx? 1.5 or 1.51?

1.5.1 came out after MODx 0.9.1. 0.9.2 will contain whatever is out at the time.
