TD like ability in CSS - help

Hiya,

Ok, you CSS guru’s you all

I’m trying to get my head around all this CSS stuff by doing my own template with no TABLES.

I’m trying right now to get a TD like experience with CSS.

ie:
some links to the left some linke to the right maybe some more

With a table the above is cake but ... errr, I just can’t get this to show up right with a design that does not fill the browser from right to left. I’m aiming for a centered 80% width site.

I’d really appreciate the help. In the mean time, I’ll be reading up some more.

It use "div" and CSS to make 3 colume layout.
