Hi, this is a total n00b-question:
for a project i’m currently developing on my own server (read: hosted webspace) i just now got the access to the clients webspace, where the project is supposed to be transferred to once it’s ready.

Thing is the clients webspace is running on Windows IIS 6.0. As i’ve just never had this situation i just don’t know the first thing about the differences between Apache and IIS.

So i was wondering if there will be problems transferring the finished site from Apache to IIS?
If there are issues i have to look out for: this totally is something i wish i wouldn’t have to care about, but since i must, can you point me to a resource that takes a newbie by the hand into Windows wonderland?

Thank you for moving this Thread, Ryan and sorry that i didn’t find this subforum myself.

After a quick skimming of threads it seems that moving platforms isn’t as simple as copy/paste. Wouldn’t have expected anything else.

So, since i’ve already kinda figured things out on Apache i guess i just try to persuade the client to switch servers. At this stage this is no problem, so better now than later.
