    Hello all,

First let me say I am very excited to join the community and impatient to start designing with modx and if possible be involved in all sorts of things. Alas, my client has bought a Windows server and that is considerably delaying my designing frenzy!

I have run into problems largely identificated in other posts (the system window saying "Location: "http://www.website.com/manager" location", then the mysql error spotted in the following topic: http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php?topic=35608.0 and now I have the cache issue inside the manager that prevents me from saving the changes (although they are indeed changed, but I get the mysql error). All of this should be solved as I have requested changes of permissions to my provider (as instructed on another topic), but there is a tiny little bit that remains unclear to me.

Following up on the last post by Stefanie that solved the topic cited above (kudos Stefanie for this answer, but the topic is now closed), I would like to know what that means:
The design is completely broken, but you will be able to save the configuration and after the reload everything will look fine.
My design is broken and nothing I can do brings it back to normal...Any help?

Why does anything that contains wind and ows has to be so annoying?

    Thanks for your help!

    Colin

      Hi Colin,

Your question is not very clear to understand, could you let me know what particular errors you face and any error messages.

Also please post details about your hosting provider or the setup i.e. is it running on IIS which version? what version of PHP, MySQL.

      Thanks Aaron

        Thank you for your reply.
I had various random problems that I can’t really recollect and I regretfully decided to opt for another CMS solution.
I finally decided to ask my host to migrate my server to Apache and I am back in the modx community, to try again.
Sorry I did not follow up on your message, that was the reason...
