I’m installing ModX 0.9.6.3 on my local dev machine.

    Here are the specs:

    • Microsoft Server 2008
    • IIS 7.0
    • MySQL 5.1.36

When I start the installation I get to the point of my MySQL configuration. When i put in my host name, username, and password and then click on "Click here to test your server connection....", nothing happens. I notice some white space below the link shows up but nothing in it.

I then proceed to fill in the rest of the information and click next. When I do, I get told I need to Run the Connection Test first.

What am I doing wrong? huh

      Hi Qtech,

What version of PHP do you have installed?

Have you verified your php sessions paths are setup correct within PHP and that the IIS web user has write access to the session folder?

If you could provide some more information we should be able to help you out.

      Thanks Aaron
