I wish to try and mimic our live WAMP server as closely as possible to test out modx so I created a Virtualbox guest with the same version of windows.
I am having a strange issue where running the latest install (0.9.6.3) I can get to the install page
http://localhost/modx/install/index.php?action=connection but
when I try to validate the connection and database, it doesnt validate. Clicking on "Click here to test your server connection and get the available collations" it justs removes the collation dropbox and does nothing.
I am installing:
- php 5.2.9-2
- mysql 5.0.83
- modx 0.9.6.3
- windows 2003 std with iis6
i have suspect it was a problem with mysql but I reinstalled and can run the mysql service. Can anyone help?
