Ya, I know, this issue again. I looked everywhere and couldn’t find an answer. When I click on Manage Files I get the following:

    Directory listing for:/

    Access denied!

Moving to IIS was an unfortunate situation that popped up with a client’s site, but we had to do it. I think everything is installed correctly, and every else seems to be working. Here is the File Manager Path I am using: C:\inetpub\vhosts\domain.com\httpdocs. From everything I have read, it should be correct. I have also changed all the permissions on the folders that needed it, as usual.

I am an IIS noob, so any help would be great.

Have you tried running the installer again but selecting update? I normally find that good to run when moving sites between environments as it tends to pick up all the new correct paths etc.

For the httpdcs folder the ISUR_Website user needs to have Modify permissions and this needs to inherit for all child directories and files.

Let us know how you get on.

Do you have full access to teh server? As I have also seen this issue a couple of times now on the forum and would be willing to join you on a screen share to check your setup and hopefully fix the issue along with providing instructions for the rest of the community trying it out on IIS.

      Thanks

This is what I did. First, I was stupid and lazy, so i just copied everything over and made the appropriate adjustments. Everything was good, expect the file manager. I then went ahead and ran an update install. Now I was left with a backend with no style, which I couldn’t figure out.

Then I got pissed off, and I decided to kill everything and do a fresh install. Ya I know, what good would that do, if the update install didn’t seem to help. However, I wanted to try everything. After getting the appropriate folders copied over, database copied over, and permissions set, I was back to where I was post update install. While in the non-styled backend, I clicked on one of the styles, and magically I was now styled. For some reason I had to pick a style to trigger it.

I am still not allowed into the file manager, but I think you are right about the root permissions. Unfortunately this is on a shared hosting account, so I don’t have full control. However, it is with Hostgator, and their support is outstanding. I will put in a ticket to see if they can help. Otherwise, this will be a deal breaker.

Thanks for the help Aaron, and I may take you up on the offer to check out my client’s setup. I just don’t know if it would help without full control.

Come to think of it, if I can get the host to do what you suggest "For the httpdcs folder the ISUR_Website user needs to have Modify permissions and this needs to inherit for all child directories and files", would I not then need to go back in a change permissions on /asstets/export, /assets/cache, etc?

          Or am I missing something?

Ok, consider this SOLVED, and consider me an IDIOT for not trying the obvious.

This was my path when I was denied access:
            C:\inetpub\vhosts\domain.com\httpdocs\

This is now my path, which works:
            C:/inetpub/vhosts/domain.com/httpdocs/

How I love wasting time because of absolute stupidity.

Where do I have to change the path? I have the same problem... >:( I have Apache on local Windows machine...

                Found.

                Tools -> Configuration -> Interface & Features

By the way, I had an inverse problem. It’s strange that neiter PHP nor a server do not solve the problem automatically.
