    versions: IIS5, PHP 5.2.9-1, modx-0.9.6.3, MySQL 5.0.22

Hi, I installed modx with WAMP on my Vista laptop with no problem, just to test it.

I think it is really great: easy, good looking and forward-thinking, so I went ahead and installed it on my shared hosting account on an IIS5 Windows 2000 server.

It mostly checked out, but when I run either manager or front end, I get a blank screen.

    A few things:
-I installed it in a subfolder because I didn’t want to disrupt my existing site (runs fine like this on my Vista install, but is that ok on server?)
-I double-checked all the required ’write’ permissions
-I deleted it entirely and re-installed from scratch - no joy
-It gave an error re writing to config.inc.php, but I followed the instructions and copied the supplied code to a blank file and uploaded it
-It gave an error re PHP register_globals, but said that wouldn’t stop the install. I need to leave that alone for now because my osCommerce cart needs it.

So does anybody have any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated ...

I’ve spent 3 months looking for the best cms and thought I had found it - I sure hope I can make it run.

    Tks, Adrian

Not sure if this will help, but I had the same blank screen problem, (although I’m using PHP4.4.9 on IIS6 on Windows server 2003). Eventually I found that I needed to give the user called ’NETWORK_USER’ read access to my PHP directory. This fixed it. If you’re on a shared server, not sure if you can do this yourself? Maybe you could ask your system admin to do this for you.
