    Hello people

I have a little problem at the moment and I am having problems finding a solution or workaround.

Basically when I access a page on my site that is for registered users only and I am not logged in I want the login page to be displayed. I thought this was pretty straight forward so I set the Unauthorized 401 page in Modx Configuration to the ID of my login page.

However this only half works. Before the Login page is displayed the default browser login dialogue box is displayed. I beleive this is due to how IIS processes the page before Modx can forward to the login page.

I have tried adding "ErrorDocument 401 /login" to my htaccess file but this seems to make no difference.

Does anyone know how I can stop the browser default login dialogue from been displayed?

    Thanks in advance
    Ian

      Hi

It sounds like your folder permissions are not fully set in Windows, best thing to do is check the properties of wwwroot - permissions then go to advanced and select reset all child permissions.
