Please excuse my nube-ness but I’m having a strange issue that started after moving the MODx MySQL DB to a remote server. I can no longer see images in the image browser.
Also within the MODx manager if I go to RESOURCES>MANAGE FILES> I now get an access denied message. Is this is a permissions issue between boxes now? The site itself is fine just the image browser is messed up.
Running on windows boxes.

I recently migrated a customers site from another hosting company Nix box to Windows and had a similar issue.
It sounds like your paths just need updating to the new paths, what I did though was download the latest version of MODx and upgrade the whole installation selecting "do not overwrite" during setup.
Allrighty-
The upgrade solved a portion of the problem. The image browser is now displaying images again. And i should also say that I’m using Apache 2.2 and not IIS. Also I’ve seen the path statement problems before, and I think this is different.
So I still get an
"Directory listing for:/
Access denied!"
message if I try to get in to RESOURCES> MANAGE RESOURCES>
This is most definitely looking like a permissions issue. Can anyone tell me what permissions and where, I would need to Change/add on the Application Server to allow the remote DB server access to the file structure on the App Server?
Is it required that the MySQL service be running under the Local System account? I apologize in advance if this spins into a MySQL support issue and I’ll start checking thoses forums if thats what needs to happen...
Problem resolved.
After the upgrade the file manager path in windows got changed to x:\www\domain.com\htdocs\assets\ instead of
x:/www/domain.com/htdocs/assets/
