    Hello everybody,

I’ve got a problem on saving TVs. In a new document, that contains several TVs, none of them is saved. This is reproducible with Firfox 2 and IE 6/7.
In http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,5403.msg70033.html#msg70033 I’ve found a solution, that works as a workaround. But I think that it is no solution to create a new document, save it and then open in the frontend to edit it with QuickEdit. There is only a change on one TV necessary, after saving the TV, the other TVs are editable in the backend.

On this website QuickEdit is disabled, because I’m using jQuery with several plugins.

There are a number of possibilities and this is covered extensively in the forums and the bug tracker. My best guess is your problem is MySQL being in strict mode (a default in the Windows distributions of MySQL it seems). Other issues include browser auto-fill values not triggering the onChange event and making MODx miss the update, and including spaces or other non-alphanumeric characters (other than - or _) in the TV name.

        Hello OpenGeek,

        thank you for your answer.

No, it is not strict mode, the MySQL Server is not running in strict mode, even if I normally like it better that way. I’ve got another MODx installation running on the same server using the same MySQL Server with the same TVs. There it is working right now. And it has worked in the past, that is was wondering me. It started from one day to an other after creating new documents.

Stefanie, can you check your database manually to see if there are redundant entries for some of those TVs? I have no idea if that would be related, but this is a strange problem indeed. Would love to have access to phpmyadmin and the manager to see if we could figure this mystery-bug out, too.
