friendly url - windows xp

Hello
I was wondering whether threre is a little guide available to make friendly url work on windows xp using apache, mysql, php.

what are the specific settings to get this to work?

thank you in advance for your help.

This is as good a start as any. http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,4700.0.html (up in the sticky area)

As I found, make sure Apache is configured correctly and that the <directory> section at the top does point to your webroot.

got it - thanks for pointing me to that direction and sorry for not having found it myself.
