We have modx on our server and it is working just fine. However, we are trying to transfer our website to another server. After copying the files from one server to the new one, we can’t even get the index.php page to open. I assume this is because of the new My SQL database. I’m not sure what to do at this point other than go back to the old server, remove modx, copy the files again, then reinstall modx on the new server. However, I have no idea how to uninstall / remove modx from the server and I cannot find any step by step guides on this. Does anyone out there have any detailed instructions on how to get this done so we can transfer our website to the new server? shocked

      Hello.

So i never do this but i thing that the right way to transfer the modX page is first creating a backup:55

      On Manager: Tools/ Backup

so next install modx in the new server and restore the backup, i don’t know if the backup going to move the files, if not just move the files folders independently.

      UNINSTALL:

i uninstall modx before a couple times and reinstall everything again in the seem hosting, just delete all the folders with an FTP software, that is all!!!

modx dont install anything in your cpanel or server software, ModX only install the things in folders and that’s all..

just delete everything and delete your database from your cpanel.

sorry for my english!!! grin grin grin i hope you understand!

      bye!
