Hi. Still a newbie but now with a few local installs and one remote server install of ModX under my belt - I have a question re migrating an existing site:

The current site (as was) uses php mainly for includes and forms processing, but the root doc of the site is index.php - which of course clashes with the index.php of ModX. If it wasn’t for that I should be able to install modx on the live server (I have already tested on a different domain on the same VPS) and run the old version and the modx version alongside each other.

So - is it possible to rename the modx index.php (to modxindex.php for example) and tell modx that that is what it’s root doc is called, so I can run modx alongside the existing site?

I have another query re migration / change process but I’ll raise that separately.
