    Hi,

    I use www.webfaction.com for hosting.

On the forum sometoast has asked the following

I was just wondering if anyone has Modx Revolution RC1 successfully running on WebFaction? Every time I run the installation I get the following error:

Fatal error: Class ’xPDOManager_’ not found in /home/***/***/***/core/xpdo/xpdo.class.php on line 1152

I have read somewhere that there are some bugs with certain versions of PDO in PHP 5.2.x that have caused people similar issues. Anyways, just wondering if anyone has gotten around this or has any suggestions.

Doesn’t look like the same question has been asked here so I’m passing it on on sometoasts behalf. Any advice? I can pass on any information to sort this out.

Webfaction is great for Django etc but I’d like them to become MODx specialists too.

For those who are interested in this, and Webfaction is a great webhost!
I just got Revolution RC2 working with them.

It requires you to set up a custom Apache/PHP stack.
Lodge a support ticket and they will provide you with a script to do this for you.

You’ll then need to make a small virtual host change in the httpd.conf for your domain, and you will now have a php.ini which you can add the pdo extensions, which I’m sure was the problem before. Bingo!
You can hosts as many sites/apps as you need off that stack.

Webfaction support are really good and quick with any help through the process.
