    Hi,

I am installing Modx for the first time after moving over from our custom built CMS.
I have followed all the install instructions and checked the server requirements.

I get the first two set up screens and then on the options page I get a blank page? I have looked on the forum and followed all the troubleshooting notes.

I know this is a long shot but does anyone have any ideas?

    Install: http://www.aqualabs.eu/setup
    PHP Info: http://www.aqualabs.eu/phpinfo.php

    Many thanks in advance

You may want to try looking/asking in the revolution area here: http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/board,378.0.html

I think the common answer to the white screen problem is you need to increase your php memory limit.

        Thanks for your reply.

I have followed all the steps that I can see. On this page: http://www.aqualabs.eu/phpinfo.php you might have seen that the memory limit is set to 128M.

Is there no support for Modx? What are you supposed to do if you cannot install the product?

          A couple of things:
          1. Have you looked through http://svn.modxcms.com/docs/display/revolution/Server+Requirements and made sure your server meets all requirements?
          3. Have you re-downloaded and re-uploaded all the files to make sure it’s not a corrupt download issue?

Be patient, because of difference in time zones, a lot of members are probably fast asleep (unlike insomniacs like me wink ) or else enjoying the weekend, but I’m sure someone will be along to help you more soon. Check the two things above though, and do post your environment specs in the thread so it’s easier for people to troubleshoot.

          cheers.

            Thanks for the reply.

Yes I have checked the server requirements and my server is compatible. As you suggested I have also downloaded a completely new version of the source and re-uploaded. I have still not had any luck.

              Hello,

Could you please elaborate more on things... You are using Revolution which is still very new, most people here are using Evolution. Do you have a specific reason for wanting to try Revolution as Evolution is suggested for production websites.

Also could you please post your environment specs? Tell us more about the server and such. Revolution is still very new so the more information we have the better we can help you.

Also can you look through this page too: http://svn.modxcms.com/docs/display/revolution/Troubleshooting+Installation It may help further.

                1. magic_quotes_gpc - Turn that to off.
                2. What version of Revolution are you using? beta5 or SVN?
                3. If beta5, the traditional or advanced distribution?
