      Hint; Google is your friend.

Seriously, there are probably thousands of webhosts located in the US and at least hundreds of webhosting review sites on the web, such as webhostingtalk.com and more wink

Although that seems awfully cheap for reliable hosting to me...

Short answer: Dreamhost using maxed out coupons might meet your needs.

I have been using wirenine.com for the last three months and they are reliable so far. They offer a $3.95 per month package, which equals $48/yr. That includes SSH access, which was a key requirement I had when looking for hosting.

              http://textdrive.com

TextDrive is a hosting company run by and for people who love publishing on the web.

Give them a try. Their prices may be a bit too much for your budget, but very nice people and a good hosting package with lots of extras (f.e. http://strongspace.com).

if you need American hosting when I guess you have search on Google. I guess Gogol has answered to everything.
Ifastnet.com is a very good side. I have used their free hosting and it was very good and they also give your premium hosting and is their free hosting is so nice I think then their premium hosting will be a very good quality one so you can go for it and let me tell you it is not that costly to include costing around $30 or so.

                • Oh that reeks of spam ... please help convince me otherwise vikonava.

For future reference anyone wanting blatantly advertise their services, please wait until we have a commercial offers topic. The above post would have been completely fine and not raised my suspicion had it been written as:
Please PM me if you’re interested in our hosting that meets your budget parameters, and for a site actually running MODx on our platform, please see <insert URL here>

                  All caps...

update Removed the questioned post due to no response from poster. Apparently it was spam.

I’m using Dreamhost for some sites. Not for serious production use, though. The servers are grammed, and uptimes are far from perfect. But they’re dirt cheap, and you get more than you pay for IMHO.

I’d recommend checking the WebHostingTalk forums. Do a search on the company you’re considering. There’s also an offer forum.
