Friendly URLs w/out htaccess

Without being able to add in .htaccess on Yahoo hosting, is their any other way to do SEO friendly urls?
I don’t know of any, but I am trying to help out a friend, and he wants to keep yahoo hosting that he has had for 10+ years.

There are some options here: http://wiki.modxcms.com/index.php/Friendly_URLs_Guide, but personally I would change hosts.

I’d like to do the same but not due to inability to use .htaccess, but because I prefer using Cherokee server due to its memory usage.

However, the above mentioned URL seems not to be up-to-date for Revo

Another question, concerning that I was not able to see SEO-friendly URLs under Apache, is whether they do apply to manager as well?

(I was able to get them for the rest of the site pages.)

No, friendly URLs should not be applied to Manager pages.

Thank you.

This is the first help/reply I’ve received in Forums after asking several questions.
