First of all....apologies for any v simple questions.

I’m trying to update an athletics website with some results etc as a bit of a favour.

Not done much with websites - but happy to learn!

Problem I’m (and person who normally does it - who is also v much a website novice) is getting is that files don’t load - getting the message in screenshot below:

If I go into file manager it looks like has uploaded it but the size is shown as 0kb, and when linked to nothing is shown.
Assuming it’s because available space has been used up?

If so, brings onto next question - people who normally do it have removed a lot of old files to create space - is it possible they are still ’hanging’ about somewhere in a secondary place or recycle bin etc - if so any pointers as to where?

How can I tell if have used up all space available?

    Many thanks in advance,

    Dan

It looks like you’re using a very outdated version of Evo (0.9.6.3), you might want to upgrade that.

I would start by having a look at the system settings for file uploads. I’ve never used your version of the manager, but in Evo 1.0.5 check tools/configuration/File Manager and make sure your settings for "Uploadable File Types" and "Maximum Upload Size" make sense. Make sure the file manager path is correct while you’re at it.

These settings can be overridden on a per-user basis, so you want to check the specific settings for your users as well. Under Security/Manager Users click on the username and go to the User tab, and check uploadable file types and maximum upload size there. In most cases you probably want these set to "Use System Configuration Setting" so that the user just has the default settings, unless there is a particular reason for one user to have different settings.

For all I know these settings may be completely different in your version -- in any case, I would advise upgrading to the current version before you do anything else as that may resolve other problems as well.
