Love the software... greatest thing since sliced bread.
Even though I’ve only recently stumbled upon MODx (December 2010), I’ve migrated 2 distinct domains (with 3 more to go) to MODx. I had all but finished writing my own CMS, but was having trouble with some "last hurdle" issues around versioning and security. So yes, MODx is my knight in shining armour.
These forums have been equally valuable. Thank you to everyone who has taken to post their machinations and solutions for all their problems. As a "figure-it-out-myself-er", your information has been invaluable.
However, there comes a time when it’s more efficient to ask the general populace when searching yields nothing but frustration. Know that I ask this (and future questions) only because I cannot find the solution myself... or because it’s one of those "this-should-be-stoopidly-simple" answers. Or maybe because I’m lazy...
How do I disable thumbnail images in the MODx Browser, but only for a specific context and/or user group?
I just want a simple filelisting, where long filenames don’t get truncated by the horrible ellipsis of doom (hover here for more information that your userbase will inevitably call you about, because they can’t figure it out themselves!).
