I assume you didn’t make any changes to user groups, contexts etc?

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
I don’t the index page..?

Okay, we’ll need some more details to help you out here.
Let’s start with the obvious. You have your site setup in a subdirectory called modx? Obviously: does your index.php exist on the file system?
What version of MODX are you running? If revolution: standard or advanced? Was this a clean install, or moved from a different server?
Possibly some environment info would be useful. See the red text under the post form. Also check the error.log.
Does the manager act as expected? You get a form when clicking on a resource in the tree navigation?

modx folder, standard install, everything seemed to be fine.
I do NOT see the index.php file there..

If you don’t see the index.php file something went wrong during uploading all of the files.
Reupload everything to make sure nothing else was missed too.
(Also: if you want quality help, you need to provide quality information - so try to answer as many questions as possible)
