modx with customer design

hi,

I am thinking of installing modx on my server, but i have a few questions that you can help me with.

1. can i use modx with a custom design and not a pre-made template? how does that work?
2. can i have my clients login with a different user/pass to the admin area?
3. what ecommerce can i integrate into modx for ecomm sites? what do you suggest?
4. can i use a non-modx-ad-on for ecommerce? i use 4images for shopping carts, can i integrate that into my site with modx cms?
5. does modx comein hebrew? can we contorl both the admin area and front-end in hebrew?

anything else i should know?

Hi, and welcome to MODx Forum, I’ll try to answer some of your questions:

2. Yes, with different password and also different language. Furthermore, you can customize the admin to show/hide links and fields you don’t want the client to see.
3. I have never tried but I’ve heard that it’s easy to integrate MODx with foxycart http://www.foxycart.com/
4. Probably yes, let’s wait someone more knowledgeable than me to reply .
5. MODx Evolution I think is in hebrew, MODx Revolution not sure.

3. i just saw "Ecwid" [http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,45114.0.html]. what do you think?

what is the difference between them?

Revolution is the newer version of MODx, completely re-written. If you never before used MODx you should probably go with Revolution, because it is in vital development.
