Problem with installation

Hello, today I have downloaded MODx Revolution 2.0.4-pl2 from http://modxcms.com/download/
I have readed in http://rtfm.modx.com/display/Evo1/Basic+Installation , that I have to unzip and then open address : http://yoursite/install/index.php
i dont understand. because when I unzipped it, I DON’T HAVE install directory, I don;t understant ...

please explain me the situation, how I have to install this CMS ?

I use localhost (appv serv), the address is: http://localhost/modxcms/setup/index.php

Can you find your php.ini? If so, this should be trivial to fix - I’ve done it more than once. Use your editor’s "find" utility to locate the line that starts



It may be commented out with a semicolon; if so, remove that.

Now enter your timezone so the line looks something like this:



Using your correct timezone instead of mine, of course.

You may need to restart PHP/Apache before the MODx installer will detect your change and continue.

FWIW, that should be set on any server running PHP 5.2 or later. If it’s not, set it, or text/call/phone your server admin ’til they set it.

You server has the PDO extension disabled; this is a standard extension since PHP 5.1.

Make sure you check server requirements before installing MODx.
