Arranging page content

New to modx and took over site management of existing site created on modx. I’m kind of advanced beginner when it comes to site development so I’m learning as I go. Modx version is Evo 1.0.2.

Page contains chunks that display in a certain order left to right, top to bottom (http://www.montaguebikes.com/ordering-folding-bikes/). It appears the order is based on when the page was created. I’d like to change the order and haven’t yet found in the forums how this is done. I was hoping it would be as easy as changing the menu index but no dice.

Any guidance is very appreciated.

What does the resource for this page look like? If it’s using the Ditto snippet to insert the content of a set of subpages, which may be what you’re looking at, you can set the order of the output to menu index using &orderBy=`menuindex ASC` in the parameters.

Thanks for the suggestion KP.

The Resource content section is blank. I’ve read up a little on Ditto and don’t think it was used.

In all cases the page is generated using a template.

Any other ideas?

Would you post the template used then? It’s hard to tell what’s going on when working blind. Chunks? TVs? The content has to come from somewhere.

Spoke too soon on Ditto and think I found where to make the change thanks to KP
