Best Way to select records from table and paginate?

Hello,

I have a table full of txns and need to select and display all the records along with sorting them. I am playing with what I think is an older snippet loopDbChunk. I was wondering if there was anything better to do this?

Here is a simple Snippet example illustrating how to query a mysql table and iterate the rows of a database table (that exists in the same database as modx, or you could give your user permission to another database and address the table explicitly in the other database using `myDB`.`myTable`:

This way, you can use the getPage snippet to handle all your paging needs; all it needs is to know the total records to page through.
