Single signon (OpenID)

I’m still considering MODx for its simplicity despite the fact that for my needs I would have to go with separate forum and wiki software. To make it easy for end users, I plan to deploy OpenID support and have the forum, wiki and main site (for comments) work well with OpenID.

I’d like to know if anyone has experiences integrating MODx with SMF and have OpenID work on both systems in a unified way (so a user who logs in would be able to work with the MODx interface or with SMF without logging in multiple times or using multiple user ids). Of course, OpenID would be used only for authentication, and authorization maintained in each system separately. Any pointers to provide this in a seamless manner to end users would also help.

As mentioned above, this would also include SSO for a wiki (based either on MoinMoin or MediaWiki).

I think its very hard to make openID work with MODx web/manager users but as standalone
