Can't proceed after database test

Hi All,

I have an installation issue where the page get stuck at creating or test your selection of database. That link appears after it successfully connected to the database. But when I tried to click on that link, nothing happens. The only button visible is the ’Back’ button thus it got me stuck there.

Any ideas anyone?

It would be easier to help if you tell us a bit more about your setup. What version of MODx? What are you server settings?

Trying to install Modx Ver 2.0 on Linux with the following:

PHP 5.2.13
MySQL 5.1.34
Webserver: Apache
Database collation: utf8_general_ci

Have you actually created the database and assigned the database user to it? And have you entered the name of the database you created in the box before clicking the link? Bear in mind that by default MODx will enter the name of the database as "modx", you need to change that to whatever you named your database.

Yes I did that.

The system was able to connect to the database successfully but I just can’t proceed to create.

The issue have been solved.

It’s my mistake really, apparently I got confused with using the username. Anyway have got it running though now having other issues on mod_security. Thanks all for the inputs.
