Remove url suffix .html

How do I remove the .html suffix from my friendly urls?

I’ve tried removing the extension from my Content Types, but I can still only access my pages with the .html. The friendly_alias_urls setting looked like it had something to do with it... but disabling it didn’t help at all.

Sorry for the ’stupid’ question, but I none of my search’s have revealed an answer. Thanks for your help.

Ack! Re-saved a page to clear the cache and it works. I wonder if the cache could be cleared when content types are updated...?

apparently you’re working with Revo, then there is an option, checked by default, that clear the cache when you update a ressource, just let it checked

Sure! I’ve kept it checked in all the places where it’s required, but when I updated a content type (which affects potentially large numbers of pages), it didn’t clear the cache of those items which depend on it for their suffix. I believe changing the suffix of an HTML page from ’.html’ to ’/’ should happen without me having to re-save a bunch of pages to be able to access at the new urls.

no, no, don’t worry , you don’t have to resave all the concerned files, once you’ve cleared the cache... once, everything should be ok and every html page url should be their alias
