Too much of a newbie

I have started to build a site in Revolution, but I can not figure out how to get a user to login and be able to edit a page. It was easy in Evolution. I know this is simple, but I am lost. Any help would be appreciated. Also, in Evolution, I could change my file base path. I can’t find this feature in revolution

With Revo, you have to consciously deal with user roles... that was automated to a large degree in Evo.

After creating a user, right click it (Security --> Manage Users) and make sure you "Add User Group to User" -- e.g. add the "Administrator" user group to the user, and give the user a "Member" role. There’s a lot of flexibility with the role system.

As for settings, have a look in System --> System Settings. There’s a lot of stuff in there, but if you search for things, you should be able to find what you’re looking for.

I have made the users. I don’t have a place to login. I "transported" LOGIN, but that appears to be to a form and not to edit the web page. Is there a snippet I have not loaded or a place reserved for signing in?

Users login to the standard http://yoursite.com/manager/ page. There are no web-users in Revo. If you need to present a login form to the forward facing portion of your site, there is a login package you can download to help you do this.

Also be aware that there is no front-end editing for Revo yet.
