There were some times that I looked into the core, snippets, or plugin code, to understand the workflow and/or find bugs.
But the way modx’s written in several languages (xhtml, php, javascript) has make it difficult to be dived in.
My IDE (eclipse) shows too much errors and warnings annotation, which if I go there, it’s only an inconsistence coding.
eg:
echo $_lang['files_dirwritable'],'<b>',is_writable($startpath)==1 ? $_lang['yes'].'.' : $_lang['no'].'.'
?></b><br />
Of course IDE will yell "No start tag (<b>)."
Do you guys have a specific reason why it’s written that way?
Don’t you think clean and consistence coding would also help us to find the REAL bugs?
Do you guys (the core team) allow us to submit the svn to fix them?
May be it’s not too important, but it’s just itching. :p
