GD2 library

Hi !

I m thinking to use (finally) modx for a site. I ve been used to work with others cms and I m starting to look for the basic functionalities I need for my next project.

I really need to work with some GD2 library. My goal is to update easily pictures and make sure that the web site resize them or even crop them (without my own hands ).

Is there a functionality, like GD2 library, who’s already in the cms or should I found a snippet somewhere ?

gd being available or not doesn’t depend on MODx at all but on your server config.
now, you can bet your life it will be on nearly any php hosting offer

slightly different is gd being available on your local server. For example Wamp installation includes gd but doesn’t activate it by default, you simply have to activate it (as many other php extensions/libraries) yourself.

Now, coming to MODx extensions using gd, there are "a few" available of course, and, of course too, you can write snippets of your own to achieve peculiar tasks

I come again on this post. I installed recently the Gallery extra on revo, but I have to admit that is too complecated to use. I am really disappointed about the lack of document...

I ll try to install the evo version with maxi gallery and I hope it will be easier...
