How can I get MODx to ignore code?

Hi all,

How do I tell MODx to ignore code such as [!Ditto? &parents=`31`!] ?

I’m learning MODx by making a site that documents some useful (to me anyway) hints and tips. I’d like to have the snippet call displayed on the page along with the result. Can I wrap the code in something that says, "leave this alone"?

I’m also experiencing a problem with the site_content table crashing from time to time. Repairing the table in phpMyAdmin seems to work but it is a little disconcerting to say the least Any ideas as to what may be causing the problem and what I can do to stop it happening in the future?

I’m using the latest MODx version, 1.04 and WAMP (Apache 2.2.11, PHP 5.3.0, MySQL 5.1.36) on Win XP.

I think there’s a plugin for that; I have a keyboard macro set up to replace [ with [ and all the rest of the HTML and MODx tags with their respective HTML entities.

@sottwell, Thanks. Since I posted I’ve been experimenting with replacing the various brackets with their decimal representations which has worked! The idea of using a keyboard macro is a good one - thanks!

@Breezer, Thanks. I’ve had a quick look at Brackify (and Demo by the same author). I’ll give them both a whirl and report back. I like the idea of leaving more easily readable code in the source (Brackify just expects a space between each pair of delimiters). I know just about enough PHP to understand what is going on in Brackify, so I’ll make the change the author suggests to include {{ and }}. Thanks again.
