Thank you for your help so far. I know I’m ’only a graphic designer’, but I see that as a vastly important part of Website creation - not something to be swept under the carpet. Maybe next time I ask something, someone could reply without snobbery or sarcasm.
JB
OK, this one first.
I wasn’t meant to be snobbery or sarcasm. Sorry if I sound that way.
But from your reply, looks like I hit your toe for being a designer.

"Yes, you can put your CSS into its template, easily.
But again, you should understand the script you’re using, or you might break the content."
Thank you. That’s what I needed to know. Yes, I know I should understand the script. That’s why I’m asking questions - to learn.
Cool.

"Website is not a canvas."
I disagree. Of course websites are canvases. They’re are portals to information but also a visual platform for digital media.
"It is not the image you’re looking at. It is a bunch of scripts that manipulating the pixels, which also manage the successful interpretation between the server’s and client’s issues (browser, security, and so on... )"
The image is not the architecture, obviously. It is however, vitally important to a site’s success.
Why can a site not be conceived as a design idea or an artistic expression? Why can a site not be beautiful and expressive as well as functional? Functionality, security etc have to be solid and stable, of course - but a site has to have some visual appeal and interest...otherwise it’ll be easily forgotten.
This part is debatable to the end of the world, but honestly, I’m a
usability believer.
When you’re making the site for yourself, you can do everything.
But if you start to sell your service to someone else, then you (we) must consider about their needs, and of course (not all, but part of) our identity.
Try to think wider, it’s not all about the applause from the spectator.
I know some sites that have been deliberally ignore the common rules of site usability.
They are good. They are damn good.
But again, the visitor would be very limited, because they are not meant for backward technology.
Some part of the world are still using Dial Up.
So, back to the SG3 TOPIC.
It just doesn’t suit with the content management.
But again, I don’t know further, since I’ve never used it.
PS:
Trust me. I’m a designer as well.
Have try GIMP?
