Simple way to show date in a document?

Well yeah. It always seems so damn hard to find answers to your questions when MODx is concerned, even though the answers would be really simple

Well. You can use a simple call with Ditto [+date+] to show the date when the document was posted. I’d also like to include this information in the document itself, but I can’t seem to be successful with it. Do I really have to make a snippet or create a dedicated TV to achieve this?

I also have a similar problem with tags attached to every post. I just used the modx default template as an example. When I call the [+tagLinks+] with Ditto it functions 100%, but when they are called inside the document itself with [*documentTags*] they lack the "link" functionality. What could I do to make them work 100% inside the document?

AuthorTimestamp is a handy snippet that will return a date for you in a specified format. It’s a common enough requirement, maybe it’s time something like this was added to the standard Evo package?

I don’t know if there’s a general purpose tag display snippet for "single post" pages in the repository. You could probably adapt the PostTags snippet in my blog post template, available at http://www.pogwatch.com/pkBlog/pubkitblog-display-post.html

Te snippet doesn’t work for me, it returns an error message. But this is improvement! The other snippets I’ve tried didn’t do anything

Sounds like you didn’t get the whole snippet copy/pasted; the second line should start a comment

I always mess up with the simplest of task. The text file started /* <?php /* so of course I didn’t include it, because all I could see was the <?php part. That way the comment only had an ending */. Best of all: I repeated the same mistake three times

Kp, I tried your snippet, but I just couldn’t get it to "work". It made a single link even if I had 3 tags. I’m not sure that have you meant it to work like this I have no PHP skill to make it work for my needs.

I think I was clear enough, but just to be sure. I am using a TV (atm) to call the tags inside the document, because I can’t use Ditto to do it. My call is [*documentTags*] which retrieves the tags I have selected, but they aren’t in link form. With this problem they are practically unusable. I found this snippet, but I’m running version 1.0.0 which isn’t supported. I’m looking for same kind of functionality as in here: http://blog.medianotions.de/en/articles/2008/modx-feature-snippets.
