[SOLVED] Upgrade works locally but links, css and images missing when on server

    Hi There,

    I have a weird issue on a site I’ve upgraded to 1.0.3. Because the site is live, I decided to perform the upgrade locally, test it, then upload it to the server. After successfully upgrading and testing the site, I uploaded the site to the server. But when the site is viewed the links are trying to connect to the local MAMP domain, there are no content images and no CSS applied to the pages - just content and markup.

    I can’t quite workout what is causing the issues - it just seems weird that the upgraded site works perfectly locally but fails when on the server.

    I’ve tried the following:
    - Quit MAMP
    - Reset Safari and Firefox
    - Restarted my machine
    - Used the same .htaccess file as the old site (they look identical anyway)
    - Tested the site on another computer on the same network
    - Reset DNS on our internal server
    - Tested the site at a different location/network
    - Checked permissions on the images folder

    Not sure how to trouble shoot this - I’m sure it’s simple and has something to do with the .htaccess file maybe?

    Any help would be much appreciated

        Some suggestions:

        1. Did you check the paths in your manager config?
        2. Did you clear your site cache after completing the migration

          I have the new site in a subdirectory on the server and can login - everything looks fine.

          I’ve triple checked that:
          - The resource and file manager paths are correct
          - That I can see and browse for images in the content areas - which I can

          I’m sure this is a simple mistake that I’ve made a long the way...

          Will retrace my steps again
