So, I have friendly URLs enabled in my MODX site (and let’s just start by saying my level of technical sophistication with MODX is fairly low; I inherited this site and have been learning as I go)...
I have a page with an alias, say "Page1"
My client is insisting that he be able to access this page directly by EITHER typing in "Page1" OR "page1"
Ok.
SO.
I did some research, figured out that I should change the code in my .htaccess file by adding "NC" -- which I did.
This had no effect.
Then I tried simply adding "page1" to the document alias field for the document. No dice. Using commas only made the alias "Page1-page1"
Then I tried duplicating the document and giving the new document the alias "page1" -- but MODX thinks this is the SAME as "Page1" and will not accept it as an alias (except, of course, for the user, where modx apparently does NOT recognize "page1" as "Page1," or I wouldn’t be having this problem.)
