I am installing a new site with evolution and can’t resolve the db table prefix issue. I created a blank MySQL database using Plesk on a Linux server. There is no permission for the user to create new databases but have had luck with other installs creating tables.
I tried the New Installation giving the error:
Checking database: failed - could not create database
With the Advanced Upgrade I get further in the process finding this error:
Checking table prefix ``: FAILED! - Table prefix does not exist in this database!
Any help would be appreciated.

Double-check the name of the database. Many of these control panels prepend something to the name you specify, and even truncate your name if it’s longer than they like. For example, you could specify "mymodxdatabase" and end up with "mydom_mymodex".
Thanks...you were right. I checked the database name in PhpMyAdmin and it had an underscore.
